Musings of an Ukraine Traveler

Easter in Kosiv

Alice Brew, Wini Kissick, Joel Eittrem (taking picture) and I invited ourselves to Kosiv for Easter. Here Gerry Braniff plays host on the balcony of our room at the Hutzul.

Wini loved the rooms and beds at the Hutzul. Her children take note of the hair. She doesn't know if she can make it until May.

My new camera takes a little dark, but that is me on the bed. Note the size of the towels. A real luxury in Ukraine.

Saturday morning we made our way to the wonderful Hutzul crafts bazaar. Alice is delighted with a martoshka with a wood burned design.

Wini and I were after those last minute gifts of Ukraine to take home to our friends and families.

Spring was two weeks ahead of the northern oblasts and naturalized primroses were everywhere. Snowdrops filled the forest floors. Tulips and daffodils were in every yard. For some of the other beauties of Kosiv go to the next page for our walk.
