Musings of an Ukraine Traveler

Alice washes dishes the way many of us have to in Ukraine. Some have a kulunka or a boiler, but Wini has neither so she heats water for both washing and rinsing.

We went for a walk Friday morning through the town. This house is a good example of the type of "modern" decoration used on houses in central Ukraine.

Hey, it was cold and these guys were hunkered down keeping warm. They will eventually end up on a Ukrainian table maybe for a national holiday.

Friday evening Alice, Wini and I took off on the "good" train from Shepativka to Lviv. We had the coupe all to ourselves with an attentive attendant who pretty obviously had a few shots of vodka between each of her visits to us.

I truly am still here and enjoying every minute of this great adventure. Water and chai (tea). What more could we ask for on this great trip.
