Musings of an Ukraine Traveler

We Made It!  3 months of language, projects and mayonnaise!

LCFs Larissa and Oksana learn American enterprise through Monopoly. Winnie takes their money.

We more "mature" PCTs let the young ones dance the night away. Emily took everyone's dough including Joel's and Carlton's.

Training staff sings a song for us during the talent show. Wonderful stuff and none of my pictures turned out!

Got to get those shirts, dresses, jackets ready. Mike and Devon make use of Piggy ironing room.

We are ready; dressed to the nines and waiting to give our host families flowers.

Andrei, director of training introduces us and the guests of honor.

The President addresses us and the press gets close.

US Ambassador, Carlos Pasquel, swears us in.

Maggie speaks in Ukrainian while Doug and Tina wait to speak to us in Russian and English respectively.

Yep, that's me. I am an official Peace Corps Volunteer and I feel good.

Winnie poses with her host mom and sister. This was the first time that host families were invited to the swearing in. They loved it.

Here we are, Bila Terska group, LCF and host families, together for the last time
